Description

Short title: Hickeringill v Vesey.

Plaintiff(s): Edmund Hickeringill, clerk.

Defendant(s): Robert Vesey, Abraham Dyer.

Subject of depositions: Rectory and parish of Wix (Essex), and the late dissolved "monastery or religious house" there, called Wix Abbey. Touching lands in the parish called "Fresh Mill lands" and "The Decoy Ponds." Whether the lands were parcel of the possessions of the abbey, and therefore freed and discharged from the payment of tithes. Tithes.

County/place: Essex.

Date of commission: 4 July 1688.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 15 October 1688 at Dedham.
