Description

Short title: Smith v Knackston.

Plaintiff(s): Joseph Smith and his wife Martha.

Defendant(s): Thomas Knackston, and others.

Subject of depositions: Farm in Clapton (Berkshire), rented by Charles Knackston,"who absconded and became insolvent" and an alleged agreement between Chas. and the plaintiff Martha touching the management of the farm, and another agreement between the plaintiff Martha (by the name of Martha Dore) touching the sale of farm produce.

County/place: Berkshire.

Date of commission: 2 May 1687.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 May 1687 at Newbery.
