Description

Short title: Bedle v Miller.

Plaintiff(s): Joseph Bedle, clerk.

Defendant(s): Richard Miller.

Subject of depositions: Vicarage and parish of Great Bursted, and farms in such parish called Broomehill, Westhouse, and Snagtayles. Whether the farms were parcel of the possessions of the late Abbey of Stratford and therefore (as "Abbey lands ") exempted from the payment of tithes?.

County/place: Essex.

Date of commission: 28 November 1682.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 16 January 1683 at Billericay.
