Description

Short title: Rapley v Smith.

Plaintiff(s): William Rapley.

Defendant(s): John Smith.

Subject of depositions: Vicarage and parish of Godalming (Surrey), and coppice grounds, in the parish purchased by defendant of Sir William Elliot, kt, and of Gerard Gore and Richard Woods. Whether the parish is in the Weald of Surrey, and are all parishes in that weald "quitt and discharged of tythwood?" Tithes.

County/place: Surrey.

Date of commission: 5 July 1682.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 October 1682 at Godalming.
