Description

Short title: Rutter v Yeo.

Plaintiff(s): Edward Rutter and his wife Dame Mary.

Defendant(s): Leonard Yeo, Nicholas Dennis, Thomas Colley, clerk, Mary Chichester, Henry Chichester, the elder, Edward Pointz, the elder, Sir John Chichester, bart Mary Chichester, Francis Chichester, Arthur Chichester, Henry Chichester,the younger, Ann Chichester, and George Chichester (infants), by said Thomas Colley their guardian.

Subject of depositions: Last will and testament, estate, of Sir John Chichester, bart deceased (late husband of plaintiff Mary), the disposal of his goods and chattels at Rawleigh and Youlton, the maintenance and custody of his children, and the allowance to his wife for her separate maintenance.

County/place: Devon.

Date of commission: 28 November 1678.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 January 1679 at Barnstaple.
