Description

Short title: Attorney General v Sanderson.

Plaintiff(s): The Attorney General, at the relation of Thomas Rookeby, Thomas Wormley, Mary Witham, spinster.

Defendant(s): Christopher Sanderson.

Subject of depositions: Farming, sub-farming, and collecting of "the duties of subsidy and alenage of all wollen manufactors for the coy of York and Lancaster, and other northerane counties" etc. Touching the refusal of defendant to pay such duty, and dissuading others from paying it.

County/place: Yorkshire; Lancashire.

Date of commission: 4 July 1677.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 October 1677 at Richmond, delivered into Court 21 November 1677.
