Description

Short title: Lord Holles v Baynes.

Plaintiff(s): The Rt Hon Denzel Lord Holles, Baron Holles of Ifield, Conyers Lee, John Rouland, Robert Maynard, Katharine Bosomworth, widow.

Defendant(s): Christopher Baynes, the younger.

Subject of depositions: Late dissolved abbey or monastery of Bella Landa alias Byland (Yorkshire), and the lands belonging, including lands at Old Steed, others called "East Cambe" in the parish of Kilburne, of which Lee and the other plaintiffs are tenants to plaintiff Lord Holles. Touching the rectory of Kilburne (Yorkshire) (belonging to the Archbishop of York), and now in the defendants' hands. Metes and bounds. Tithes.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 23 June 1675.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 16 September 1675 at York.
