Description

Short title: Gould v Thornhurst.

Plaintiff(s): James Gould, clerk.

Defendant(s): Thomas Thornhurst, Jane Swayne, Robert Williams.

Subject of depositions: Rectory and parish of West Knighton (Dorset), and the farms of "Frier Mayne" and "Lewell" and a tenement and mill called "Ward's Mill" all in that parish, and lately belonging to Brewen Williams. Tithes. Whether Lewell Farm was otherwise called "East Stafford" and "East Stafford Mills" or "East Stafford Farm" or warren of conies, and parcel of the possessions of the late priory of St John of Jerusalem in England (Middlesex). Tithes.

County/place: Dorset; Middlesex.

Date of commission: 23 June 1675.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 October 1675 at Dorchester.
