Description

Short title: Viscountess Fanshaw v Lord Fanshawe.

Plaintiff(s): Sarah Viscountess Fanshaw, of Donomore, in the kingdom of Ireland, daughter of Sir John Evelyn, kt, of West Deane (Wiltshire).

Defendant(s): The Hon. Vere Bertie and Evelin Lord Fanshawe.

Subject of depositions: Jointure settled upon the plaintiff at the time of her marriage with Thomas LordFanshaw her late husband, and whether the profits of the office of King's Remembrancer of His Majesty's Court of Exchequer were to be included in the jointure. [The plaintiff's former husband, Sir John Wray, and his possessions, are mentioned].

County/place: Wiltshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1674.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 January 1675 at West Deane.
