Description

Short title: Starkey v Attorney General.

Plaintiff(s): William Starkey, William Willoughby.

Defendant(s): The Attorney General, Jane Moseley, widow and executrix of Nicholas Moseley, late of Ancoats, George Mainwaring, Benjamin Critchley, John Brocke.

Subject of depositions: Farming of the duty of hearth money in and for Chester and the county and city of Chester, of which duty Nicholas Moseley was farmer or receiver and chief collector, and the defendant John Brocke was deputy collector. Securities. Accounts.

County/place: Cheshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1674.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 25 January 1675 at Chester.
