Subject of depositions: Manor of Papcastle alias Papcaster which "escheated to the late Queen Elizabeth by the attainder of the Lord Dacres "; granted by the Queen to Lancelot Salked, Thomas Brathwaite, and Richard Tolsongen in trust for the use of Thomas Lamplugh (afterwards Sir Thomas Lamplugh) of Dovenby (Cumberland). Customs of manor regarding the payment of fines "att the death of the admitting lord to the next succeeding lord, and of fines upon the change of tenant by death or alienation." Also touching similar customs in the manors of Holme Cultram, Bolton, Caldbeck, Linstock, Dalston, the honour of Penrith, Forest of Englewood, and in Lord Dacre's manors of Irdington, Lazenby, Graystock, Gilsland, Brough, Dacre, Kirk Oswald, Aynstable, Bleckhill.
