Description

Short title: Carrington v Fitzherbert.

Plaintiff(s): Lucy Carrington, widow.

Defendant(s): Bazil Fitzherbert, Thomas Purcell, William Sheppard.

Subject of depositions: Lease of the capital messuage or mansion-house of White Ladies, in the parish of White Ladies (Shropshire) (heretofore a dissolved nunnery), made by the defendant Bazil to Francis Bickerton, and sale of the premises by Francis to the plaintiff (widow of Henry Carrington). Alleged damage sustained by the plaintiff in being evicted from the premises. Payment of taxes.

County/place: Staffordshire; Shropshire.

Date of commission: 24 May 1669.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 17 June 1669 at Wolverhampton.
