Description

Short title: Watkins v Walcott.

Plaintiff(s): John Watkins, the elder, John Watkins, the younger, James Watkins, John Morgan, Henry Williams.

Defendant(s): John Walcott, Francis Rickards.

Subject of depositions: Execution (by defendant Rickards) of the office of receiver-generalship (of Radnor) of "assessments" upon the countyand of "hearthmoney;" and also of the office of deputy receiver to the other defendant Walcot (who was sheriff of the county, 1661-62). Touching an extent levied upon plaintiffs' lands in Radnor county for arrears of 18 months' assessments and hearthmoney.

County/place: Radnorshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1668.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 January 1669 at Presteigne.
