Description

Short title: Hanchett v Grove.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Hanchett.

Defendant(s): Thomas Grove.

Subject of depositions: Parsonage and parish of Berden (Essex). Tithes. Touching a lease of the tithes, oblations, belonging, made by the mayor, commonalty and citizens of the city of London, governors of the possessions, revenues, and goods of the Hospital of Edward VI. King of England, of Christ, Bridwell, and St Thomas the Apostle (being parsons impropriate of such parsonage) to John Bathurst, of London, for 31 years, dated 3 March 1659, and demise of tithes by John Bathurst to the plaintiff.

County/place: Hertfordshire; Essex.

Date of commission: 28 November 1668.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 January 1669 at Albury.
