Description

Short title: Coventry v Bishop of Winchester.

Plaintiff(s): Sir John Coventry, K.B.

Defendant(s): George Lord Bishop of Winchester, Thomas Patten, John Periam.

Subject of depositions: Two grist mills in or near Taunton, called "Taunton Mills" or "The Town Mills" parcel of the 12 ancient mills of the Bishop of Winchester. Touching right and title to the tithes or tenths of the tolls of the mills.

County/place: Somerset.

Date of commission: 28 November 1667.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 January 1668 at Taunton.
