Description

Short Title: Attorney General v Newland.

Plaintiff(s): Edmond Prideaux, Attorney General of his Highnes the Lord Protector, on the part of the mayor, of Newport (Isle of Wight).

Defendant(s): Benjamin Newland, Elizabeth Edwards, widow.

Subject of depositions: Port of Cowes, and the town and borough of Newport (I. of W.). The plaintiffs'claim to the petty customs of such port.

County/place: Hampshire.

Date of commission: 14 June 1654.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 20 October 1654 at Newport.
