Description

Short Title: Wentworth v Attorney General.

Plaintiff(s): Sir George Wentworth, kt.

Defendant(s): Edmond Prideaux (Attorney General).

Subject of depositions: Receivers' accounts of the"recusants' revenue" in the northern counties removed out of the office at the taking of York. Particularly touching the fate of a warrant under Privy Seal of King Charles I for the payment of £1,500 out of the revenue to Sir William Udall, kt,"for the late King's use" etc. [See also E 134/1653/East3].

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1653.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 April 1653 at York.
