Description

Short title: Lord Harbert v Clement.

Plaintiff(s): Edward Lord Harbert, of Ragland, Edward Lord Montague, of Boughton.

Defendant(s): Phillip Clement, Oliver Hynde, Richard Rippon.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Oundle, and the ancient watermills there. Custom of "suit and grist" [i.e. grinding corn, etc.] at mills. Also touching mills inAshton and Cotterstock, in Northampton.

County/place: Northamptonshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1642.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 21 April 1642 at Geddinton.
