Description

Short title: Attorney General v Adeane.

Plaintiff(s): Sir John Banks, kt (Attorney General).

Defendant(s): John Adeane, John Nelme, Richard Worgan, Edward Worgan, George Harris, Richard Hodges, Matthew Adeane, John Hymon, John Bennett, William Hayward, John Gwillim, Robert Younge, William Yeeme, the elder, Richard Yeeme, Andrew Horne, John Wintle, John Bucke, Michael Howe, John Tyler, Thomas Whooper, Henry Rudge.

Subject of depositions: Forest of Deane. Alleged waste and spoil, committed by defendants. Common of pasture. Resistance of defendants to the "improvement" of such forest Incroachments on and inclosure of waste of forest Value of the 4,000 acres allotted for the commoners and poor.

County/place: Gloucestershire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1640.
