Description

Short title: Jorden v Frith.

Plaintiff(s): Abram. Jorden, John Cheetham, John Ediall, Rowland Ridding, Edmund Bancks, Henry Hunt, Richard Harding, John Collier, John Adcock, William Wyatt, Thomas Badworth, late copyholders for lives of their several tenements in the manor of Mosshouse.

Defendant(s): Rowland Frith, Peter Alport.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Moss House or Shenston, lying in Over Stonnall, Nether Stonnall, and Shenston, etc. (Staffordshire), parcel of the late monastery of Osney (Oxford). Alleged non-execution of agreement. Grant of the premises by Letters Patent by James I. Purchase of manor by defendants of Sir Edward Fitton and Sir Richard Leveson. Metes and bounds.

County/place: Staffordshire.

Date of commission: 25 November 1633.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 10 January 1634 at Lichfield.
