Description

Short title: Lancaster v Cookson.

Plaintiff(s): Christopher Lancaster, Lancelot Dawes, DD, and vicar of Barton (Westmorland), and his son Lancelot Dawes, William Busher.

Defendant(s): Thomas Cookson, Christopher Lancaster, Thomas Dodd, Michael Airey, Thomas Saunderson.

Subject of depositions: Rectory and parsonage of Barton, and the hamlets of Fuesdale, Bowerdale, and Sandwick (Westmorland). Tithes.

County/place: Westmorland.

Date of commission: 25 November 1631.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 16 January 1632 at Perith.
