Description

Short title: Pointing v Hartgill.

Plaintiff(s): Henry Pointing, Richard Smart, and others, being copyhold tenants of the manor of Culmington alias Kilmington (Somerset).

Defendant(s): John Hartgill.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Kilmington and the waste or common belonging, and the forest of Frome Selwood (Somerset). Alleged encroachment on common. Metes and bounds. Common of Estovers, etc. Customs of manor, etc.

County/place: Somerset.

Date of commission: 28 June 1631.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 11 October 1631 at Meere.
