Description

Short title: Dean of the Cathedral of Ely v Purvis.

Plaintiff(s): Dean and Chapter of Cathedral Church of Ely.

Defendant(s): John Purvis.

Subject of depositions: Small rent of 46 quarters of salt; whether payable to the plaintiffs by the tenants of the manor or town of Terrington, and formerly belonging to the monastery of Ely. Touching appointment of officer in such manor called "The Little Mollman" who collected the rent.

County/place: Norfolk; Cambridgeshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1610.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 17 January 1611 at King's Lynn.
