Description

Short title: Peryam v Mainwaring.

Plaintiff(s): Dame Elizabeth Peryam, widow of Sir William Peryam, Lord Chief Baron.

Defendant(s): Christopher Mainwaring.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Sidmouth, and benefit of fishing at Sidmouth, and the rectory of Sidmouth, late of the monastery of Sion. Touching portion of the manor (being the third part), and the fishing belonging to Sir William Peryam, the other parts belonging to John Lea and John Skutt. Value of the manor, rectory, and fishing. Lease of the manor from monastery to John Gosnell, and from Queen Elizabeth to John Kerry. Survey. [The names of William Hakewill, Giles Dottyn, and Ellis Skutt, are mentioned].

Date of commission: 15 June 1608.
