Subject of depositions: Arrears of rent for copyhold lands and marsh grounds in the royal manor of Bandsey Buttley, held by defendants. Peninge, for land formerly purchased by Arthur Peninge of William Humberston, and of which Charles Humberston holds part. Brown, for lands purchased of the Crown by Armiger Brown, 37 Henry VIII, called "Lymbalds" and lands in Alderton and Hollesley as copyhold of such manor, and left by him to his daughter Agnes Jirnegan, widow, (mother of plaintiff). The manor of Howes, in Alderton, and Robert Smith, James Bacon, and Robert Hawes, Anthony Peninge are mentioned. Cooke is charged for Throwled Marsh. It appears that about 3 Eliz a lease of same, among other lands, was granted by the Queen to John Hill "pretending the said marsh to be concealed." Survey.
