Description

Short title: Sanderson v Wycliff.

Plaintiff(s): Henry Sanderson, searcher of Her Highness's port of Newcastle-on-Tyne.

Defendant(s): William Wycliff, George Whitehead.

Subject of depositions: Port of Newcastle-on-Tyne. Touching a seizure of goods "at the Sheeles at Tynemouth" by plaintiff, and resistance thereto by defendants. Metes and bounds and extent of jurisdiction of the port.

County/place: Northumberland.

Date of commission: 23 June 1602.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 11 October 1602 at Chester-in-le-Street.
