Description

Short title: Wild v Wigley.

Plaintiff(s): Gervase Wild, and his wife Margaret, Her Majesty's fermers.

Defendant(s): John Wigley and his wife Anne.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Albolton, lying in Bridford, Albolton, and Gamston (Nottinghamshire), sometime in the possession of Mr Rossell, then of Robert Hall, then of William Hall, and then of Anthony Burgess. Metes and bounds. Survey. Also touching the moiety of the advowson of the church of Adbolton; what part of such premises belong to the Crown ? [The names and possessions of Mr Strelley, Mr Westby, Mr Parpoint, Mr Pendock, and Richard Thimelby, are mentioned].

County/place: Nottingham.

Date of commission: 29 November 1596.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 15 January 1597 at Nottingham.
