Description

Short title: Lugger v Powle.

Plaintiff(s): John Lugger alias Lugard.

Defendant(s): William Powle, Alice Powle (widow), Richard Stallard.

Subject of depositions: Her Majesty's mill in the township of Chorlestrey (Herefordshire), in the occupation of plaintiffs. Custom of "suit and grist" to the mill by the inhabitants of Stagbaich and Chorlestrey. Alleged interference with such custom by defendants.

County/place: Herefordshire.

Date of commission: 27 November 1596.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 13 January 1597 at Leominister.
