Description

Short title: Countess of Rutland v Radcliffe.

Plaintiff(s): Isabel Countess of Rutland.

Defendant(s): Anthony Radcliffe (alderman and citizen of London), William Bradwell, gent, William Hulson (innholder).

Subject of depositions: Right and title to pasture ground called "Ellot More ", "Grimesholm ", "Hony Wonge" or "A Wonge" in Farndon (Nottinghamshire), lately in the tenure of Anthony Foster and Bryan Holuston, and since in the possession of defendants; whether parcel of the demesnes of Newark Castle. [Henry Fenton, Edward Fenton, Edmond Greaves, John Mallin, Christopher Greaves, Giles Foster, a lease of Newark Castle and Manor made by John, late Bishop of Lincoln, 1 January 28 Henry VIII, to Anthony Foster, Elinor his wife, and John their son, for 40 years, at a yearly rent of £96 6s 8d and a new lease thereof taken of the Crown by Edward Earl of Rutland, are mentioned].
