Description

Short title: Attorney General v Cornwallis.

Plaintiff(s): Attorney General.

Defendant(s): Charles Cornwallis.

Subject of depositions: Trymley Heath alias Trymley Common, and the manors of Stratton and Moston, in the hundred of Colneys (Suffolk), and a heath or waste ground commonly called Stratton and Moston Walk. Alleged intrusion on Trimley Heath. Metes and bounds. Survey. Also touching a former tryal. [The names of Thomas Lamb, William Jermy, William Candish (Cavendish), Thomas Cotwyn, and Sir Richard Candish (Cavendish), are mentioned].

County/place: Suffolk.

Date of commission: 9 July 1595.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 October 1595 at Ipswich.
