Description

Short title: Wakefield v Wigley.

Plaintiff(s): Barnard Wakefield.

Defendant(s): Henry Wigley, Henry Butler, John Clay, George Statham.

Subject of depositions: Debts and property of Anthony Babington, attainted, and executed for high treason (late of Dethick, in Derby), including a farm or manor called Wigwall (Derbyshire). [John Palmer, Margaret Babington, wife of Anthony, George Babington, Francis Babington, Henry Fuljambe, and Mr Coulthurst, servant of Sir Walter Raleigh, are mentioned].

County/place: Derbyshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1591.
