Description

Short title: Crowe v Wood.

Plaintiff(s): Edmund Crowe, Thomas Thirkeld, Richard Thwaites.

Defendant(s): William Wood.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to lands in [? Winkley] said to have belonged to Sir Vivian Merkenfield, grandfather to Thomas Merkenfield, and to Thomas Merkenfield (attainted of high treason for rebellion), and to Sir George Bowes, and to the abbey of Fountance (Yorkshire), and claimed by Sir William Inglebye. The lands are stated to have been surveyed after the attainder of said Thomas Mertenfield by Edmund Hall and William Humberston. [The names of Sir Henry Pulleyn and - Craven are mentioned].
