Description

Short title: Hussey v Smethe.

Plaintiff(s): Charles Hussey, of Lynwood, co. Lincoln.

Defendant(s): George Smethe, of Great Livermore, Suffolk.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Hallton Hoolgate, Lincolnshire, whether John Norman was in possession at any time; also whether in the escheators' inquisition the manor was returned at the time of his outlawry, and on the 28 March 1573 did sell the manor of Halton Holgate to George Smethe.

County/place: Lincolnshire; Suffolk.

Date of commission: 22 November 1577.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 8 January 1578 at Lavenham, Suffolk.
