Description

RESCUE SERVICES: Extensive explosion at No 21 R A F Maintenance Unit, Fauld near Burton-on Trent on 27 Nov 1944: assistance rendered by civilian forces. Includes 79 photographs depicting: Explosion at RAF No 21 MU Bomb Storage Depot, Fauld nr Hanbury Village, Staffordshire. Aerial views of area showing craters and partly demolished barn. Damage to houses and churches at Hanbury and Horninglow. (See also HO 186/2773). Dated 1944
