Cause: Brown v Kennedy Papers, mainly correspondence, relating to litigation (Swinfen v Swinfen), in which defendant Charles Rann Kennedy, barrister at law, successfully represented Mrs. Patience Brown, then Mrs Swinfen (plaintiff in present cause, by next friend Richard Lawrence, with her husband Charles Wilsone Brown) in claim to Swinfen Hall estates, and (Kennedy v Brown), in which he sued her for remuneration; including pamphlet printed by Charles Rann Kennedy, 'Swinfen v Swinfen: Report of the Argument in the Common Pleas in Michaelmas Term, 1856' (Richard Hatton, London, 1857). Deposited [15 and 28 January 1863].
