Documents concerning the dispute as to the right of election of a prior of the cathedral priory of Winchester (Hampshire).
Letters of attorney from the chapter of [the cathedral priory of St Swithun] Winchester in favour of Nicholas de Merewell', William de Salford, John de Sybeston' and John de Drayton', together with the prior and Brother Valentine, in order that they might pursue petitions before King Edward and treat with the king and [John of Pontoise] the bishop of Winchester concerning reforming the estate of their house.
