Spain: Fuentes de Oñoro: 'Plan of the Field of Battle of Fuentes de Oñoro 3 and 5 May 1811'. Relief map showing positions of forces. Compass indicator. Inset watercolour 'shewing the face of the country on the banks of the Dos Casas as far as the village of Fuentes de Oñoro'. Surveyed by Lieutenant T L Mitchell, 95th Rifle Corps. Lithographed by the Topographical Department, War Office, in 1869. The map is ruled in pencil in one-inch squares. This map formed the basis for three maps, showing separate stages in the battle, published by James Wyld in Maps and Plans Showing the Principal Movements, Battles and Sieges ... during the War from 1808 to 1814 ..., London, 27 February 1840.
