'Stanford's Aerographical Map of England & Wales ...': relief map, also showing the Isle of Man, with southern Scotland and parts of the coasts of Ireland and France in outline. Reference tables to towns and cities according to size and status (for instance, whether a borough, assize town, ecclesiastical see, etc), railways, rainfall, and heights of land and depths of seas. Scale: 1 inch to about 8 miles. Edited by Professor A C Ramsay, Director General of Her Majesty's Geological Survey; produced by Stanford's Geographical Establishment and published by Edward Stanford, Charing Cross, 1 November 1875. Inset: 'London and its Suburbs Enlarged': showing areas as far north-west as Hendon, Middlesex (now in the London Borough of Barnet), as far east as Woolwich, Kent (now in the London Borough of Greenwich), and as far south as Croydon, Surrey; reference table.
