Minorca (Menorca; now part of Spain): Mahón. Map of the harbour area, showing roads, fortifications, and soundings. Scale: 1 cm to about 100 varas. Minorca was occupied by Britain during the years 1708-1756, 1763-1782 and 1793-1802; the War Office map docket book (which was the original means of reference to the War Office maps) suggests a date of about 1801 for this map, but it was probably made rather earlier than this.
