Based on an original map by Bimbashi [i.e. Major] W S Gordon, [Egyptian Army] and (signed): [General] H H Kitchener [later Earl Kitchener], 4 February 1887; this copy traced by Lance Corporal J Trippett, Royal Engineers, 4 March 1887. Inscribed: 'Approved by GOC [General Officer Commanding], 2.3.87'.
