Sudan: Ambikol. 'Halfa District. Redoubt at Ambigole Wells': two copies of a sheet bearing a plan and sections; item (2) on tracing cloth. Reference note, to both copies, on garrisoning, and on desirable alterations to the parapet, traverse and ditch. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240] (plan); 1 inch to 4 feet [1:48] (sections). Item (1) signed by Captain J E Blackburn, Royal Engineers, 4 December 1885, and by Major A J Hepper, Commanding Royal Engineer, 4 December 1885; item (2) traced [from item (1)] by Sergeant G C A Whitmore, 22 December 1885. Dimensions: (1) 52 cm x 38 cm; (2) 48 cm x 38 cm.
