Order from Hoppo to hong merchants to find out why Grant's country ship, ordered to leave 5 years ago, recently moved from Kumsingmoon to Tsingkok (Ch'ing-chiao) bay, where she has apparently been broken up by her own people. Increasing numbers of ships are anchoring off Lintin and trading in opium or smuggling, and the viceroy is being asked to drive them away. (Dated: 7m 5d).
