Proclamation by viceroy, pasted up at Macao. Orders have been given for any foreign women found travelling from Macao to Canton to be seized, by force if necessary, and returned to Macao, and the ships of the merchants concerned will be forbidden to trade, will be sent away and will be prohibited from returning.
