These are records of the North Wales Division of the North and South Wales Circuit and relate to civil actions passed to the assizes by the High Court of Justice, through its District Registries, and heard at nisi prius.
The books span the period 1914-1926. Each page in each book is a certificate, having a pre-printed format, and relates to one case. The certificate records the originating High Court division (and district registry where appropriate), the case number, the names of the plaintiff, defendant and judge, the county where the trial took place and the date of the trial. It then records the verdict of the jury and the judge's direction for entering judgment. The books sometimes contain supplementary papers, usually letters from solicitors to the court associate acknowledging receipt of certificates and pleadings.
