Description

Tithe map of Outchester, Spindleston and Glororoum (townships in the parish of Bamburgh), Northumberland. Shows tower, gardens, landownership, field names, field acreages, woods, hill-drawing, footpath and/or bridleway, waterbodies, wells, salt grass, sea banks, antiquities (Roman fort). Industrial land-use: quarry, kiln. Colouring used. Scale: 1 inch to 12 chains. Surveyed by Nicholas Weatherly in 1824; one of a number of maps made for Greenwich Hospital estates and engraved by J Walker
