Description

Tithe map of Toxteth Park [Toxteth] (extra-parochial place), Lancashire (tithable parts only). Shows buildings (named), Unitarian and Independent chapels, school, windmill, parkland (named), woods, footpath and/or bridleway, waterbodies. Some foreshore features depicted: high water mark, docks. Named roads; turnpike roads distinguished; toll bar. Industrial land-use: quarry, gas works. Scale: 1 inch to 4.5 chains. By Henry White, Warrington. 'This Plan is... partly compiled from Estate Plans of the landowners and part from actual Survey by Mr John Young of Liverpool'
