Description

Tithe map of Fordington (parish), Dorset. Shows administrative boundaries (parishes and wards), buildings (generalised in built-up areas), barracks, pummery, named open fields in strips, hedge ownership, fences, field gates, plantations, woods, common and downland (both named), bridges, old bridge, antiquities (tumulus). Named roads; turnpike roads distinguished; turnpike gates. Scale: 1 inch to 6 chains; enlargement of town at 1 inch to 3 chains [1:2376]. By John Martin, Evershot.
