The Pensions Universe Risk Profile, better known as The Purple Book, is an annual publication which provides comprehensive data and analysis about UK defined benefit (DB) pension schemes. The key aim of the publication is to increase knowledge and help understanding of DB pension schemes in the UK. The Purple Book was first published in 2006 and was originally a joint publication by the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) and The Pensions Regulator (TPR). It became a PPF publication from 2016 with The Purple Book 2016.
