The Pension Protection Fund's (PPF's) Management Committee was established in 2006. In 2008 the Committee was renamed and became the Executive Committee (ExCo).
ExCo was established by the PPF's Chief Executive to assist in the running of the organisation. This includes developing and implementing strategy, operational plans, policies and budgets; recommending financial plans and budgets to the Board; assessing and controlling risk; ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations; and prioritising and allocating resources. The Committee is empowered to take any decision which can be taken by the Chief Executive, as delegated to them by the Board.
