Folios 186-187: James Tillard, HMS Sabrina, Tagus. Enclosing a copy of orders from Admiral Berkeley for him to continue in the Sabrina, and asking for confirmation of this. Adds that he has spent 26 years in the service on active employment.
Folios 188-189: enclosure with folios 186-187. Order dated 18 April 1812, aboard HMS Barfleur, from the Hon George Cranfield Berkeley, Admiral of the Blue and C-in-C of HM ships on the coast of Spain and Portugal. States that Captain Walpole, appointed Post to the Sabrina, has said his health will not allow his taking up the commission, and therefore appoints Tillard, recently promoted, to continue in the Sabrina.
